Magna, formally, at its peak the largest Steelworks in Europe, has become a science adventure centre, educating children and adults about it’s history and science in general. Located on Magna way in Rotherham, the centre has had a proposal for a new tram stop and park and ride, to increase the area’s connections to the rest of Sheffield and Rotherham. This would boost visitor numbers to Magna and as part of the development plans a design needs to be put forward to develop the exterior landscape of the building.
This proposal looks to create a potential nature reserve, boosting the area’s ecological value and its connections to surrounding landscapes and the history within.
